A tap takeover of Modern Times seasonal and rare beers featuring a super rare oak aged sour saison w/ apricots School of Certain Victory.  You won’t see this beer anywhere else.  Preliminary Draft List: (subject to minor change) School of Certain Victory, Fruitlands w/ Passion Fruit & Guava, Devil's Teeth, Monsters Park, Neverwhere Brett IPA, Nova Swing, City of the Sun, Blazing World, Black House & Fortunate Islands. This event in the main bar is not a ticketed event.  Just show up and drink beer!

Guided tasting of rare Modern Times barrel aged beers.  These beers will only be served for this event during SF Beer Week!  This will be an intimate event held in the Tivoli Sour Room located in the cellar of Mikkeller Bar SF.  Cost is $60 per person including Tax & Gratuity. Ticket go on sale Friday 1/15 at noon here brownpapertickets.com.  This is a ticketed event in the downstairs of Mikkeller.  The main bar on the ground level will be open to the public as always.

Perennial Artisan Ales Meet the Brewer/Abraxas Variant Tapping

Perennial Abraxas is amazing.  It’s that simple.  Imperial Stout brewed with ancho chili, cocoa nibs and cinnamon sticks this beer has made quite a name for itself.  We are lucky enough to have not only a keg of this renowned brew but two special variants as well, one brewed with coffee and one with vanilla.  We will be tapping all three and owner/brewer Phil Wymore will be hanging out with us at the bar so be sure to say hello.  This event in the main bar is not a ticketed event.  Just show up and drink beer! 

 

Fieldwork Tap Takeover

A showcase of Fieldwork Brewing Co's brews.  Only one year old and Head Brewer Alex Tweet has racked up a long list creative interpretations on many different styles from hop forward IPA and Pale ales to tart fruity saisons, a luscious coffee stout and barrel aged strong ales.  We can't even name them all but here is your chance to try ten of the best we've seen.   This event in the main bar is not a ticketed event.  Just show up and drink beer!

Private tasting of Fieldwork beers hand-picked and presented by Co-Founder and Head Brewer Alex Tweet.  This brewery in Berkeley, CA has produced some inspired and delicious beer since it’s opening in 2015.  Hang out in our downstairs cellar with Alex as he walks you through a flight of his creations.  Cost is $35 per person including tax and gratuity.   Ticket on sale Thursday 1/14 at noon through brownpapertickets.com.  This is a ticketed event in the downstairs of Mikkeller.  The main bar on the ground level will be open to the public as always

Mikkeller has made many fruited sours over the years. The beers in the spontan series are spontaneously fermented and aged on fruit in oak barrels. Mikkeller OG Operations Manager Jacob Gram Alsing will be here from Denmark to guide you through a tasting of 5 including 2 ultra rare triple fruited versions, Spontantriplesourcherry and Spontantripleblueberry.  Tickets go on sale Sunday January 17th at 10am through brownpapertickets.com.

Jester King Guided Tasting w/ Founder and Owner Jeffrey Stuffings

Jester King is a Farmhouse Brewery in the Texas Hill Country brewing wild ales with water from their own well, locally grown and malted grains and native yeast.  Founder Jeffrey Stuffings will be here in the Tivoli Sour Room for a tasting and discussion of his beers and his brewery.  This will be a small affair limited to 22 seats.  There will be five beers for the tasting TBD.  Cost is $60 per person including tax and gratuity. Tickets will go on sale Monday January 18th at noon through brownpapertickets.com.

Mikkeller Running Club Monthly Run
MRC is a running club.  MRC is a beer drinking club.  MRC is taking over the world with over 70 chapters started since November of 2014.  If you run and you like beer then we're here for you.  Runs are every 1st Saturday of the month.  Our team captain is beertender extraordinaire Rich Allen.  MRC San Francisco meets at Cupid's Span and runs along the Embarcadero.  There's a 5K and 10K marker.  All you need to be a permanent member is to buy yourself an MRC shirt and meet for the run.  Not necessarily in that order.  Shirts are available at the bar for $20.  After the run everyone meets at Mikkeller Bar SF for a well earned beer.  You participation in the run gets you a free beer!  Cheers to fitness and beer!   Follow the Official MRC Facebook page here
